Credits
- Courses are calculated as credits. In general, 18 hours of class time equals one credit.
-
Please refer to Academic Policies, Book 1, Chapter Four for details.
Grades
- Grades are calculated as a percentage. The highest possible grade is one hundred percent.
-
Please refer to Regulations for Assessment of Student Performance and Calculation of Credits for details.
Absence
- You must request permission from your instructor in advance if you will miss a class. If you cannot request permission in advance due to a valid reason, you'll have to complete the absence-taking procedure afterward. However, if your instructor has their own absence rules, those rules apply.
- An authorized absence will be recorded as an excused absence. An unauthorized absence will be recorded as an unexcused absence. One hour of an unexcused absence is equal to three hours of an excused absence.
- If a student misses one-third of class hours over a semester, they will be barred from taking the final exam and will receive a grade of zero in the course.
- Please refer to Academic Policies, Book 1, Chapter Five for details.
